Raspberries, along with berries such as blueberries, cranberries, and strawberries, also contain a substance thought to prevent bladder infections. The substance does this by preventing bacteria from adhering to the cells which line the walls of the urinary tract.

Healthy Vision
Raspberries are also thought to contain compounds which are important towards having a healthy vision. The substance that appears to be responsible for this is called lutein.

Researchers have identified a lot of compounds in berries such as raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, blackberries, and strawberries which may help in the reduction of the risk of being affected by several types of cancers and heart diseases. Skin Anti-Aging Care – Healthy Foods For Skin Care

The popularity of skin anti-aging care and the cosmetics industry is proof positive that people around the world are looking for a way to have more beautiful, healthy skin. The amount of money spent each year is a testimony to our increased focus on anti aging and healthier, younger-looking skin.

Simply put, our diets can and will dictate to a great degree the health of our skin. Natural oils found in fish and nuts together with antioxidants help improve elasticity of aging skin as well as fight free-radical skin damage caused by oxidization. Your diet should include the following five healthy foods. Your skin will show results in amazing ways, and you will find skin antiaging care to be enhanced by what you eat and the use of natural skin care products.

Drink Your Water

The number one thing to add is WATER, WATER and WATER. It keeps the body hydrated and the skin working as it should. The body stays clean and productive when a constant supply of water is provided. Water makes the skin elastic and soft to stop cracking and flaking. The correct balance of fluids helps keep the pores open and clean and the skin shining.

Hydration is necessary for proper cell development and circulation. Improved circulation allows delivery of nutrients, minerals and vitamins needed for healthy skin. Skin antiaging care hinges on hydration and moisture...without it, we're fighting an uphill battle. Dry, rough or tired skin is often the result of environmental exposure or lack of hydration and moisture. Using a skin care body lotion for external moisturization and eating fruits and vegetables high in fluid content are excellent options.

It is recommended to avoid drinks high in caffeine. Caffeine is a diuretic and often causes you to lose more fluids than you consume. Also, alcohol has the same effect. The trick and objective is to retain fluids. Using skin care products containing hyaluronic acid helps as well. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occuring substance in the body and aids cells to "retain" moisture. Commonly used for facial skin care, it helps plump tissue and improve water retention.

Antioxidants Skin Care Products

Antioxidants skin care products and natural antioxidants such as green tea will help to remove and flush the oils and dirt naturally from the body and thus produce healthy skin. Green Tea also provides the skin with an anti-inflammatory to reduce swelling. By drinking green tea on a regular basis, the body can rid itself of the toxins that can build-up in the pores and cause blemishes and infection. You can also use it to clean the skin itself as it makes a wonderful astringent.

Antioxidants fight free-radical damage. Free-radicals are produced normally as part of natural oxidization. Accelerated oxidization can occur as we age, are over-exposed to the sun or drink lots of alcohol or caffeine. Free-radicals attack skin cell membranes and destroy cells. Using antioxidants skin care products as part of an antiaging skin care regimen can lead to a more youthful appearance and reduce the signs of aging.

Skin Oils For Health

Skin oils such as Olive oil is one of the few oils that are good for the body. It provides stretchy, strong skin tone - improving elastin and collagen development. Switching to olive oil in recipes will give your tissue and cells a "good fat" and radiance. Walnuts are also a form of oil but in an Omega -3 category as with fish. This oil will make the face look fuller and healthier. Flax seed is also a great choice.

Berries For Boost

Berries are another great source of antioxidants as is green tea. The types needed include cranberries, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries. They will also give the skin a boost in complexion and a chemical that will give the cells a protective covering to stop damage. Not to mention, they taste great.

Eat Your Vegetables

When you were little, you were told to eat your vegetables and with good reason. The leafy green vegetables help to reduce acne and to help repair damage to the skin. The vitamins and minerals in the vegetables are also positive to the dermal layers of tissue. Carrots, spinach, and broccoli are the ones with higher nutrients.

Singapore Health and Wellness Newby

While stress is unavoidable, minimizing stress or reducing it to an acceptable level is a must for health, wellness, longevity, and productivity. Stress leads to numerous physiologic effects. Stress activates our flight or fight nervous system called the sympathetic nervous system. This activation leads to an increased heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, sweating (especially the palms), dilation of the eyes, and muscle tension. Further increase in our stress level will cause poor concentration, irritability, mood swings, and reduced productivity.

An inappropriate stress level also leads to a reduced immune system which affords the body to be more vulnerable to infection and cancers. Still, such stress will cause charged particles known as free radicals to increase in the system. Free radicals contribute to the aging process, vulnerability to infections and various cancers. Substances called antioxidants in foods (such as blueberries and broccoli) and some nutritional supplements fight and neutralize these free radicals. The number stressors are as numerous as there are people on this planet. Some common stressors include debt, poor time-management, lack of exercise, poor job satisfaction, poor nutrition, and a poor mental disposition or attitude. Nutrition supplements rich in adaptogens and antioxidants can help one manage stress.

When one uses a natural dietary or nutrition supplement make sure it is rich in adaptogens and antioxidants and can help support the immune system and may be even help you manage your physical and mental stress. Pay close attention to the ingredients. Artificial colors should be a no no! Avoid corn starch.

Adaptogens are herbal or plant substances that help to energize the body, support the immune and nervous systems. They also help the body to adapt to physical and mental steress or internal or external stressors. A few of these adaptogens are Eleuthero root (used to be called Siberian Ginseng), Licorice root, Chinese Magnolia (Schizandra Chinensis), and Golden root (Rhodiola Rosea).

Dietary or nutrition supplements are just that. They supplement your diet and healthy lifestyle. They do not reverse unhealthy lifestyles or the abuse some may inflict on their body. They are not treatments or cures. Anyone making treatment or cure claims should be cautioned regarding doing so. High quality, natural supplements should be used with the knowledge of your healthcare provider. If you are on medication, discuss any potential supplement-medication interaction with your healthcare provider.

As a physician I use several supplements. One that I am especially pleased is Tunguska Blast. This is a dietary supplement made by a company called Cyberwize. It is a newby on the Singapore Market starting September 2007. I use it to support my immune and nervous systems. My favorite use of this supplement is to obtain the energy and stamina it imparts to me. I try not to refer to it as a juice because juice implies that the product is obtained by just juicing fruits. This is a nutrition supplement rich antioxidants and adaptogens.

Remember, minimize stress in your life by eating properly, exercising with appropriate medical guidance, and supplementing the diet with nutrition supplements rich in adaptogens and antioxidants.

Fat Buring Foods – Eat These Foods To Help You Lose Weight Fast!

Are there foods to eat that actually burn fat if you eat them? The answer is YES.

These foods can be incorporated any diet. should make them an essential part of your dietary regime.

What then are “far burning foods”? Basically, fat burning foods are foods that burn more calories than the caloric content of the foods itself.

Every farmer knows (that raises pigs) that there are certain foods which actually burn more fat than the caloric content of the food itself, so they avoid feeding these foods to their animals (which are sold by weight!).

These fat burning foods or so called negative calorie foods are natural plant foods, and also certain dairy items.

The fat burners then fall into three basic groups:

1. The Citrus group

Oatmeal Actually Boosts Weight Loss!

As surprising as it may be, the warm comfort breakfast food you ate as a kid is actually a powerful fat burning food source-oatmeal! Packed full of oats, soluble fiber, and protein, oatmeal boosts weight loss and fat burning processes as it keeps consumers feeling fuller longer.

The Fat Burning Powers of Oatmeal

Oatmeal's most powerful fat burning agent is its incredible fiber source. The fiber in oatmeal is soluble, which means that your body slowly moves this food product through your digestive tract, making you feel fuller and more satisfied for longer periods of time. Oatmeal, as well as most other unprocessed whole grains, is an outstanding source of fiber which boosts weight loss results; yet the other key benefit to oatmeal is its ability to stabilize blood sugar levels and boost the body's metabolic fat burning engines.

Oatmeal and Fiber

As consumers of oatmeal feel more satisfied with the intake of fiber, dieters will feel less tempted to overeat or indulge in snacks or unhealthy temptations. When your hunger pangs are naturally suppressed, you are more capable of limiting the caloric and food intake; as a result, the body begins to feed on stored fat cells in order to generate energy. Simply by consuming oatmeal, the body should naturally go into a fat burning mode, resulting in the utilization of fatty cells for energy, support, and body functioning.

Oatmeal and Blood Sugar Levels

As oatmeal boosts the body's intake of fiber, it simultaneously serves as a fat fighting agent because it stabilizes the body's blood sugar levels. Essentially, anytime you consume a food, your body converts the food into glucose, or sugar. This intake of food and rise in glucose levels leads to an immediate energy rush, followed by an inevitable energy crash, as eventually you feel lethargic, tired, and may even experience headaches after eating high-sugar or highly-processed foods. Unlike most foods, however, oatmeal has the opposite glucose-rising effect on the body. As oatmeal's fiber content allows the body to digest this food more slowly, the body does not react to this intake of food by immediately producing glucose and energy; on the contrary, oatmeal keeps the blood sugar levels more stable, as a steady amount of glucose is released at a steady and safe rate. As a result, you'll feel less tired after consuming this fat burning food, and you'll also be less likely to encounter an energy crash later in the day. The greatest fat burning benefit of this helpful side-effect is that the body's natural response to tiredness or fatigue is to crave or eat a sugary food or treat, as this will provide the body with quick and short-term energy. Because the body is less likely to feel fatigued when consuming oatmeal, dieters are ultimately less likely to crave sweeter foods and unhealthy snack options; therefore, dieters can again avoid temptations with minimal physical cravings or distractions, allowing the body to continue to burn up fat stores for energy supplies.

Choosing the Best Fat Burning Oatmeal Products

While dieters will benefit from traditional or instant oatmeal, individuals can also try out new and scientifically engineered oatmeal products in order to experience enhanced fat burning benefits. For example, companies today, such as Quaker Oats and Kashi, sell oatmeal varieties that are higher in protein. When paired with the natural benefit of fiber, this added protein boost will help consumers feel even more satisfied and satiated, again reinforcing the body's ability to limit caloric intake while burning stored body fat.

When perusing the oatmeal aisle at the grocery store, however, avoid the sugar-laden sweeter varieties, as an excess in sugar will essentially eliminate all of the fat burning potentials that oatmeal has to offer. If you can't eat your oatmeal plain, add some nuts, a small amount of honey (as this is a natural and unprocessed sugar), or a handful of blueberries into your bowl. This will add a bit of natural flavor without stealing all of your fat burning benefits! Also, as you are experiencing enhanced fat burning benefits, keep in mind that a steady intake of oatmeal as part of a regular diet also lowers harmful cholesterol levels, and lowers risks of certain cancers, such as colon cancer. Eat up, lose weight, and enjoy all of the wellness perks of oatmeal.
